The world is experiencing growing pressures. Interestingly, although under threat, the natural environment still contains all we need to live and thrive. Every country has a self-sustaining ecosystem, naturally in tune with its people, flora and fauna. It is both an economic and a social possibility to use what we have, to make what we need. Scientists are discovering a true heritage of indigenous pharmacology that can be cultivated sustainably on a larger scale. Medicinal plants, conservation agriculture and heirloom seeds can realistically enhance quality of life on our globe and within the African continent.
